rs. Lizeth Gonzalez is the Director of Program Integration at GiFT California and brings over 20 years of experience working in Pre-kinder to 12th-grade youth development programs. Her career started at San Jose State University with the Upward Bound Project and Educational Talent Search Program. These federally funded TRiO Programs provide information and resources to pre-college students and their families to increase college enrollment among currently underrepresented groups.
In 2006, she joined the YMCA of Silicon Valley as the Program Director of Expanded Learning Programs (K-8th). During her 11-year tenure at the Y, Mrs. Gonzalez successfully collaborated with many school districts and community-based organizations across counties. As a result of her proven ability to implement successful programs locally, she was invited to join numerous nationwide pilot program teams through the YMCA of the U.S.A located in Chicago, Illinois.
In 2017 Mrs. Gonzalez accepted the position of Director of Expanded Learning for the Campbell Union School District and continued to advance her passion for youth development. During her tenure, she contributed significantly to the district’s Expanded Learning department by achieving greater cohesion between core day and out-of-school time programs through the integration of the California Department of Education-Expanded Learning Quality Standards and developing adult and youth learners.
Mrs. Gonzalez received her Master’s Degree in Recreation Management from San Jose State University and has a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish a preparation program for teaching.
